The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. — Esther Perel
My approach to individual healing is grounded in the belief that healing begins with understanding ourselves. In therapy, I hope to help clients become more aware of the emotions, needs, beliefs, and patterns that may be operating outside of conscious awareness. By bringing these experiences into greater awareness, clients can begin to understand where their reactions come from, how past experiences may continue to shape the present, and what they may need moving forward. I believe that deeper self-understanding can create more compassion, clarity, and choice.
My work is mainly informed by person-centred, trauma-informed, and cognitive behavioural approaches, while also integrating EMDR and mindfulness when appropriate. I see therapy as a collaborative process that goes beyond simply reducing symptoms. Meaningful healing can involve understanding ourselves more deeply, processing experiences that continue to affect us, and developing a more accepting and compassionate relationship with ourselves. From this place of greater self-awareness, change can feel more intentional, sustainable, and authentic.
I hold a Master of Social Sciences in Counselling from Hong Kong Baptist University. My graduate education provided the foundation for my work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional difficulties, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
Since completing my graduate training, I have continued to deepen my clinical practice through specialized training in trauma-focused approaches, including EMDR, as well as hypnotherapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and person-centred therapy. I am also pursuing further training in couples and sex therapy. Ongoing professional education, clinical supervision, and reflective practice continue to be important parts of how I develop as a therapist and provide thoughtful, evidence-informed care.

I am someone who is naturally curious about people, relationships, and the stories we carry with us. I value authenticity, compassion, and meaningful connection, and I try to bring those same qualities into both my personal life and my work. I believe growth often comes from becoming more honest with ourselves, understanding our patterns, and making space for the different parts of who we are.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, whether that means playing games, doing an activity together, or simply sharing a good laugh. I value moments that feel light, genuine, and connected. I do not believe therapists have everything figured out; I see myself as a fellow human being who continues to learn, grow, and become more self-aware alongside the work I do with clients.
